I discovered at a young age the impact the physical environment can have on one’s state of mind.  Maybe it was all those snow forts as a child but discovering how profoundly spaces can affect people’s behavior as well as their sense of well-being was what got me excited. Whether it is providing a relaxing home environment, a productive office space or a profitable retail environment, developing a concept that functions elegantly as well as delights the client is my guiding philosophy.

My career in the design industry has included corporate interiors work within an multi-disciplinary architecture firm, in-house design and program management for a national department store retailer as well as directing the store planning team for a global apparel retailer. The various roles I’ve played in each of these positions have given me a great appreciation for strong collaborative partners and clear project goals.

I have a deep interest in sustainable design practices and am active with the local USGBC chapter, the Sustainable Building Advisor Institute and Passive House organization. I’ve recently attained my LEED accreditation and look forward to continued opportunities to incorporate sustainable design concepts into my future work.
